How to Stay Positive Around Negative People..  Good Morning!  I hope everything is going fantastic for you so far. With summer here I am sure that you have been very busy with trips to the beach, road trips or just spending some quality time with the ones you love. There are just so many positive things that are taking place day to day around you but sometimes (and it happens to all of us) we cross paths with someone who just doesn't seem to see all the wonderful and positive experiences that life has to offer. The most valuable advice I can give you is that no matter how much negativity a person throws off , reflect it and add a positive spin. I know that it can be frustrating to be around someone who is negative but you have to realize that no matter how negative a person is they cannot interfere or take away your happiness. You have the power to lead a life filled with Joy, Happiness and Positive Experiences and nobody can pull you off course. People who are negative are not born that way, they simply are out of focus. They see everything that is going wrong in their life as opposed to all the wonderful experiences that are going right in their lives. When a person is being negative the best thing that you can do is smile and direct everything that is said into something positive. By doing this you will keep your mind in a positive state, lighten the conversation, and encourage the one being negative to look on the bright side. Here are some examples: Example 1: You are at lunch with a coworker who is just not in a good mood. She starts complaining about the restaurant you are at " The service is terrible, The food is bland and I so much work to do when I get back to the office" Positive Spin: It is so wonderful to be able to take a break from work to have  lunch with you. The atmosphere of this restaurant is so warm & inviting. Can you believe we are half way through the week? I am sure you have a lot of great plans for the weekend. Do you see the difference? Everything that was negative was turned into a positive suggestion. By saying 'I am sure you have a lot of great plans for the weekend" you are indirectly suggesting to the person you are with to think positive and also helping them to shift to a better, positive state of mind and focus on something that will make them happy. The best solution of dealing with someone who is negative is having great communication and gently redirecting the conversation to maintain a positive & lighter tone. One of the things that you can also do when you know that you will be communicating with some who is negative is offer them a compliment when you first see them. Just something simple like " Your outfit looks great today" or " I really like the tie you are wearing it looks nice on you" be sure that you are sincere and that it is something that you truly admire & like about the person. By offering a compliment you are doing three things first you are opening the conversation in a positive way, showing that person something positive about them, and also you are training your mind to think positively about that person when you see them. Always remain confident in knowing that their negative thoughts & people cannot put a damper on your day. When you find yourself dealing with someone negative use it as motivation to find the positive in every situation. The more positive and happy that you are the more positive & happy people you will start to attract into your life. Remember that you can handle any negative situation that comes your way. If you are ever feeling stressed out all you have to do is ask your family members in heaven for their assistance. You are never alone through anything your loved ones in heaven are always right behind you & supporting you. When you ever feel stressed out or anxious because of a negative situation at hand just close your eyes and ask for their support and you will immediately feel relaxed and at ease when you start to feel their presence around you. I hope your day is going fantastic so far. I have to tell you, I have had the best time connecting and meeting some of you both over the air waves on WPRO or right in your city during a live event. I was recently so honored to deliver "Messages from Heaven" LIVE over the air waves of the WPRO studio in Providence Rhode Island on Patricia Raskin's Positive Living. It was so heartwarming & humbling to be able to help reunite those on the lines with their loved ones on the other side. Some messages included; a woman whose son came through to thank her for the all that she had done for him. He relayed the message that he was now helping her from the other side during her recent struggles to find a job. A man who was looking for his wife who had passed, let him know what a wonderful job he had done with raising their children.She had told him that she would be with them on their upcoming family trip & to take a load of and just have fun. Between all of the messages that were given over the past month, their was one that had really stuck out to me from my last event at the Fall River Country Club. The event was coming to a close when I had turned around to see a man (in spirit) standing behind a woman with a lock of hair he was holding and waving in his hand. Immediately as I walked over and was closer I had felt a father connection because of the strong love and affection that you could just feel radiating as I stood close. I held the woman's hand and asked if her father had passed which she had nodded her head yes. I had told her that I had no clue as to why, but her father was standing behind her holding a lock of hair. Tears immediately followed and her father keep repeating in my ear " Tell her its okay, I'm always around her, she doesn't need it." At  that moment her friend who had spoken up for her since she was crying had said that all she had wanted from her father after he had passed, was a remembrance of a lock of his hair. She had asked the funeral home to save her a lock of hair but they had forgotten and he was cremated the next day and she had never received it.That night in Fall River her father came pushing through to her great joy and delight to let her know it was OK. He was with her at all the time , watching over her just like he did when he was here in this world. He could hear her talking to him, and thanked her for the help that she had given to him before he had passed. He was adamant about letting her know that she didn't need a single thing to know that he was close. "Just think about old times and memories and you will feel me in your heart, I have always been their" was his message. I could not wait to come home and share this with all of you. The saying that Love only continues is the truth! Our loved ones don't care what we do with their things, or what pictures we keep, or even where we we bury them. What they care about is YOU! They want you to know that they will forever love you and are right behind you cheering you on as you make your way through life. Think of think of you family in heave as your angels, walking with you day to day. They are at peace, they are full of love and watch over you smiling and proud of you, your family and the choices that you make day to day!
